Adriano joined AgBiTech in June 2018 to take responsibility for AgBiTech’s activities in Brazil and other Latin American countries. With considerable commercial and business development experience in many crop segments, Adriano also has a passion for leadership.
Prior to AgBiTech, Adriano has held several senior positions in marketing, product management, strategy and supply chain spanning in Latin America, US, Asia and Europe.
Gitta joined AgBiTech in February 2017. In her role as COO, Gitta holds global responsibility for all financial reporting and financial operational matters. Gitta also provides financial leadership to the company in decision-making and strategic matters. In July 2019 her responsibilities expanded, as US COO, to include accountability for operation of the Fort Worth factory.
Prior to joining AgBiTech, Gitta was the CFO of a privately held diesel exhaust fluid company and helped lead a successful exit to a strategic investor. Over her 20+ year career, she has held senior roles spanning accounting and finance disciplines including FP&A, Controls, Budgeting and Treasury.
ANTHONY HAWES, COMPANY FOUNDER
Anthony is a leader in the development of baculovirus technology for global agriculture. He has hands-on experience across 6 continents, with specific knowledge in technical positioning and regulation of biological products. Anthony led AgBiTech through a major growth phase from 2013 to 2019, including securing investment to fund the company’s ambitions and relocating operations from Australia to Dallas, Texas, USA in 2016.
Prior to co-founding AgBiTech in 2000, Anthony completed a Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Sydney and worked as a contract trial officer for Eurofins (formerly Agrisearch) before holding technical and marketing roles for Bayer Australia. He currently resides with his wife and children in Toowoomba, Qld.
Dr. Paula Marçon joined AgBiTech in May 2016 and holds overall responsibility for the global field development and regulatory program needs of the company’s portfolio of products.
Prior to joining AgBiTech, Paula was a Global Research & Development Product Manager for DuPont and has extensive experience developing important insecticides for caterpillar pests. Paula is also a certified 6-Sigma Black Belt Project Manager.
Adrian holds responsibility for efficient operation and maintenance of the critical manufacturing systems that supply product to AgBiTech’s customers. Joining AgBiTech in 2011, Adrian also leads the innovation and development of the insect and product handling equipment.
With a diverse background in construction, aviation and carpentry, Adrian’s skills have also been recognised at an international level at the WorldSkills vocational skills competition.
Philip joined AgBiTech in November 2017 and holds responsibility for the overall operations of AgBiTech in Australia. Over the last 25+ years, he has developed a broad agribusiness background covering all aspects of agchem manufacture, supply chain, commercialisation and both wholesale and retail sales. Philip also has extensive experience in field agronomy, public and private sector research management, cotton breeding management, communications, farm operation and leadership of large-scale infrastructure investment projects.
Marcos joined AgBiTech in May 2020. In his role, Marcos leads the US Commercial and Marketing functions and he is always focused on our customers.
Marcos is Brazilian but got most of his Ag experience outside Brazil in places such as Australia and Europe, in addition to the US and Brazil. Marcos brings experience from his several different roles in corporate strategy, business development, sales, customer marketing and product marketing. Marcos is passionate about agriculture, his family and friends and loves the outdoors.
Eduardo joined AgBiTech Brazil in March 2019. In his role as CFO, he has been implementing a corporate governance model as well as adapting and implementing management processes. In July 2020, Eduardo became our COO for Brazil to manage the entire operation of the organization in Brazil.
Prior to joining AgBiTech, Eduardo was CFO for Syngenta commercial unit north in Brazil. Over his 25+ year career, Eduardo has held senior roles including FP&A, Controls, Credit, Risk and Capital management.
Marcelo joined AgBiTech in March 2019 and is responsible for our business in Brazil. A graduate in Agronomy with post-graduate studies in Marketing and Sales, Marcelo has 25+ years of experience in the Brazilian agribusiness sector.
Prior to AgBiTech, Marcelo worked at some leading agribusinesses including Syngenta where he worked for 18 years in different sales and marketing roles. His career has spanned different parts of the sector such as chemicals, seeds, foliar nutrition and biologicals.
