AgBiTech Global Operations

Besides our established markets in Australia, Brazil, South Africa and the USA, in the last three years, AgBiTech has also been rapidly expanding and developing new businesses in multiple new countries in Sub-Saharan Africa, South Asia, and Latin America. 

UPL and AgBiTech signed a strategic distribution agreement for both Fawligen and Heligen in January 2020 for Africa covering a diverse set of countries such as Senegal, Mali, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Togo, Benin, Cameroon, Kenya, Zambia and South Africa.

River Bioscience (RBS) and AgBiTech have been working together for many years  in South Africa to distribute Helicovir (equivalent to ViVUS Max). RBS also enabled the registration of Helicovir in Botswana with Ramogomana Farming and in Zimbabwe with Cit Chem.

Golden Agri Inputs Limited, a Flour Mills of Nigeria Agro Company, is finalising the registration of Fawligen in Nigeria to provide maize growers in the country with a much-needed IPM solution for Fall Armyworm. The trials were conducted for two consecutive years by IITA with partial funding from the Swiss Development Cooperation.

The FAO, USAID, CIMMYT, CABI and AgBiTech worked together in 2019 to train and support the adoption of Fawligen in South Sudan by hundreds of smallholder farmers. In 2020, the partnership targeted 2,000 farmers despite the Covid-19 pandemic.

Baurs and AgBiTech worked together in Sri Lanka to secure the rapid registration of Fawligen giving Sri Lankan farmers a tool for the safe and integrated management of FAW in this extremely biodiverse.

Ispahani and AgBiTech worked together in Bangladesh with the support of USAID and CIMMYT to secure one of the fastest registrations in the country on the back of the Fall Armyworm outbreak in the country. The trials were conducted by the Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute (BARI) and the Bangladesh Wheat and Maize Research Institute (BWMRI).

In Paraguay, Glymax is our strategic and exclusive partner in Paraguay since 2020. Together, we launched Surtivo Soja and will be introducing more products shortly.
